I did go back to this and reread it and it holds up. It holds up better than this does, but these are two incredibly important books to me.

View all videosThis was my number one pick on one of those top 15 videos. Still great. Want to reread it. Want to read the other Strugatskys that I haven't read, but want to reread this one to verify. What a book.
If you like Children of Time, this book is, to my memory, better than that one and pretty similar.
Fantastic book. This is my favorite Silverberg.
this ended up being one of the most important books I ever read... I said it was better than Lord of the Rings. I don't think that holds up. I don't think I believe that anymore... It is better than Fellowship of the Ring. It's not better than the whole Lord of the Rings.
I was mixed on it. Skewing positive when I read it. Probably wouldn't like it as much now.
read it on a flight in one sitting. And it's another book that helped hook me on science fiction.
man, two extremely formative books.
Good book. I soured on Bob Shaw a little bit... but that's a great book. That's one of my favorite ever space operas.
one of my all-timers. And Compton has continued has sustained himself in my esteem... this was and is, I think, probably still my favorite. Crazy grim book about a prison colony on Mars.
These are not only two of my favorite aesthetic paperbacks, two of my favorite books.
The first book I ever reviewed on YouTube was this book, and I'm sure if I went back to it, I would probably not like it nearly as much. I'm really not a Niven or a Purnell fan at all. but important book to me.
Very good book. My favorite still of this Lazny's
This is another absolute all-timer. One of the best things I've ever read in my life. Probably still my favorite Russ... It is simply so good.
The first of those is the better. Interesting book. I like Smith's short stories more than Norstrilia at this point.
UK flopper, excellent book.
excellent book. Still one of my favorite Ballards.
Another one that I just absolutely tore through. I think I read it in two sittings. you don't need me to tell you about how good that book is.
The first Death World is great. Other two, not so much, but this is a book that I reviewed.
Gray Prince, not a good book.
All this, all this, decent book.
Great book, not a great cover.
One of my all-time favorite science fiction books. If you can find a copy of this for under 100 bucks, I think I would grab it. Talked about it a lot.
this is one of the better Vance standalones.
