The novella is really good. That's the last one. Gift of Gab. That was my favorite. I also really like Dodkin's Job. The other two, Dust of Far Suns and All the Words Retreat, were serviceable if kind of run-of-the-mill science fiction magazine material.
Four Sci-Fi & Fantasy Books that Make Me Go 'Aaagh' for Different Reasons
I think Lyonesse is one of the best fantasy books I've ever read.
That includes Memoirs, which is a really good book. Fascinating book. If you're into Star Trek, I recommend that one.
I just love it. I'm so impressed with Slan specifically, although it still has caviats and it's an uneven work. It gets so dull after around the halfway point.
So, take it with a grain of salt, but I thought this was pretty wretchedly bad. ... I don't recall a whole lot else other than really hating it.
Gray Prince I hate.
It's nearly a deal breaker for me. It's so corny. It's so obnoxious, and it's so cheap to me, but I will say that, and we will set it aside, and controlling for that, this is a really excellent and at times profound book.
