The intricacies of politics and religion and how people behind the scenes are manipulating the power dynamics and people's religious beliefs into making something that is a really incredible story is something that's very special. And Frank Herbert really came up with something really awesome here.

I found that he had beautiful writing that seemed to distract from the fact that he did not seem to have a plot in large sections of this book. So, I did not enjoy the story. I would be more than happy to burn it and never read it again.

You guys, when I say that this book was one of the most predictive books I have ever read, he was right with so many different things in this story. This book really is something special.

I really enjoyed this book, and I love how he challenges the reader to have an opinion on different items and different philosophies and morals than any other author on this list.

This is the book that I felt like actually did have potential at the very beginning of the story and then it just evolved into X-rated softcore furry porn. I don't really understand why this book was allowed to be published.

This was an actual cohesive story. I understood what he was doing unlike Lord of Light. However, I just didn't feel anything great about it.

This one was an enjoyable little cozy read. While I do think that it feels a little bit older than a lot of these other books that were on the list, it was one that was a little bit more silent, a little bit more contemplative, and one that I enjoyed just a little bit more.
