She wrote The Serpent and the Wings Night, which is one of my favorite vampire books of all time.
The Serpent & the Wings of Night (2022)
The adopted human daughter of the Nightborn vampire king, Oraya carved her place in a world designed to kill her. Her only chance to become something more than prey is entering the Kejari: a legendary tournament held by the goddess of death herself. But winning won’t be easy amongst the most vicious warriors from all three vampire houses. To survive, Oraya is forced to make an alliance with a mysterious rival. Everything about Raihn is dangerous. He is a ruthless vampire, an efficient killer, an enemy to her father’s crown… and her greatest competition. Yet, what terrifies Oraya most of all is that she finds herself oddly drawn to him. But there’s no room for compassion in the Kejari. War for the House of Night brews, shattering everything that Oraya thought she knew about her home. And Raihn may understand her more than anyone – but their blossoming attraction could be her downfall, in a kingdom where nothing is more deadly than love.

I just couldn't put this book down. It sunk its teeth into me very, very quickly. I was so invested in the goings-on of this tournament and our character's survival because she is definitely the underdog here, but she's a very strong-willed, stubborn woman and I loved seeing her show her strength and her smarts and resourcefulness.
I read The Serpent and Wings of Night obsessed. I read it when there was only one book and I loved it.
I really liked their romance. They have so much banter. It is a slow burn but still like delightfully spicy.
this was a really interesting and complex and kind of confusing vampire system but I really enjoyed it the ending was so shocking I literally cannot stop thinking about that ending it was just so crazy
it's good it's not fantastic it's not perfect but I was entertained
I did not rate that book nor it sequel the ashes and the star Cur King five stars I just didn't love Ora's story
there are so many reasons why this did not work I think at the heart of what is wrong with this book is that it is incredibly underdeveloped in all of its elements
