Loved itThese were some of my favorite books in the series because I could just live in the world. I didn't have to learn a whole lot more. It was a lot slower and more methodically paced than the other books.

Others: Mostly positiveDeep below the University, there is a dark place. Few people know of it: a broken web of ancient passageways and abandoned rooms. A young woman lives there, tucked among the sprawling tunnels of the Underthing, snug in the heart of this forgotten place. Her name is Auri, and she is full of mysteries. The Slow Regard of Silent Things is a brief, bittersweet glimpse of Auri’s life, a small adventure all her own. At once joyous and haunting, this story offers a chance to see the world through Auri’s eyes. And it gives the reader a chance to learn things that only Auri knows.... In this book, Patrick Rothfuss brings us into the world of one of The Kingkiller Chronicle’s most enigmatic characters. Full of secrets and mysteries, The Slow Regard of Silent Things is the story of a broken girl trying to live in a broken world.

Andrzej Sapkowski

Others: Mostly positiveAndrzej Sapkowski, arcymistrz światowej fantasy, zaprasza do swojego Neverlandu i przedstawia uwielbianą przez czytelników i wychwalaną przez krytykę wiedźmińską sagę! „Tako rzecze Ithlinne, elfia wieszczka i uzdrowicielka: Drżyjcie, albowiem nadchodzi Niszczyciel Narodów. Stratują waszą ziemię i sznurem ją podzielą. Miasta wasze zostaną zburzone i pozbawione mieszkańców. Nietoperz i kruk w domach waszych zamieszkają, drzewo straci liść, zgnije owoc i zgorzknieje ziarno. Zaprawdę powiadam wam, oto nadchodzi czas miecza i topora, wiek wilczej zamieci. Miasto płonie, wąskie uliczki zieją ogniem i żarem. Narasta wrzask, odgłosy zajadłej walki, murem wstrząsają głuche uderzenia taranu. Krzyk, strach. Obezwładniający, paraliżujący, duszący strach”.

Loved it
Loved itI don't love Path of Daggers, but I love Cross swords.
Review 1 of 2
MixedThere's so much about this I love. The world building is as deep as you will ever find in a fantasy series, but there are some things that I just have a problem with. The repetitive nature of the narrative sometimes I have some serious pace problems.
MixedCrown of Swords I found to be a step down. It's going to be in the A's, higher up.
