Matt's Fantasy Book Reviews

this one has probably the best and coolest ending to a story in molas in and one of the best ending standy story ever

this is the culmination of all 10 molas and book of the Fallen books come together in this enormous book that really brings it home ... it is just truly the best fantasy book that I've ever read in my life

the ending to this is just truly to die for literally if you know if you've read this you know what I'm talking about

it's got all the things that you would ever love from A Song of Ice and Fire but also threw in there the biggest baddest coolest most backstabbing and surprising and craziest moments that you can ever dream of in a fantasy story show up in this story

ship of Destiny gosh it's it's crazy good the best that the realm of the elderlings has to offer

it blew me out of the water from pretty much the first page on just I never anything like it and I don't know that if I ever will

this book follows a holy war and it's a very narrow scoped story about this guy who is trying to find his father in a different part of the different part of the world and it's just it's incredible and it takes the best things from you know things like the Crusades and history and blends them into this Amazing Fantasy story that is just to die for

I just loved everything about this it's it's just beautifully written honestly everything about the story is just amazing

book four is something even more special everything finally comes together in the end in a way that is so wonderful

demon and white is the book where you get the grandest moments you get those epic moments that you would get out of something like a Stormlight by Brandon Sanderson

it's really a testament to how wonderful of an author that Sanderson is that he is able to find a way to write a first book that is so epic in nature

this is this is such a special book ... I felt like the writing here was ingenious

JN Gwen writes the best battle sequences that of any author here and you know the battles that go on in Wrath and there's more than one of them are just forever iconic to me

the third book just stood out to me as something incredible and on to reread it really held its own as well

there's a reason that this book is considered one of the all-time greats in fantasy ... it's so crazy of a good book

on a reread I had to readjust my perspective and I ended up walking away from it going this is a better story Scott Lynch wrote a better story then than he did the first time

it's the fact that we got to meet this character Fitz when he was a little boy and you get to go along his life and you get to the point in this story where he's an older man and you get this beginning middle end it feels like you've grown up with this character

I feel like this is like perhaps the most underrated book of all time that certainly that I've ever read

I first read this one last year and I was just I was blown away by how good this thing is

I read another Anthony Ryan book after this I don't remember the I think it was the Pariah was it the paria and you know I wasn't a huge fan I could feel like the writing was there

book two in book three oh my goodness they take all of the incredible things from Epic Fantasy and blend that old school Wheel of Time type of story

I went into the second book Tower Lord with a very open mind and I was more than disappointed I thought it was you know everything that I loved about the first book was gone

this book's incredible for so many reasons it's one of my favorite massin books even though I feel like it gets it gets some criticism from Malazan fans

this book is an is a s+ knock out of the park home run and everybody needs to give it a shot
