what I believe is the plot the pacing the World building the writing techniques themselves are elevated from that first book... you don't get those Logans you don't get the characters like laka who are pretty beloved you just get everybody that's pretty good

Fonda Lee just created a masterpiece... I wasn't overly thrilled with how the very end of this book went and how the whole story wrapped up but don't get me wrong I liked the very ending of this
there were these two characters or three characters really that showed up in the third book memories of ice that are in my opinion just wonderful characters they're these two necromancers and their manservant and they are hysterical and a very dark way
the plot and the pacing and the characters in this book are wonderful they feel like they were written by Ericson that's a good thing... the one negative that I would say about this is that I don't feel like he nailed every character in this in the way that Ericson did
the faithful and the Fallen books they get better and better every time each of the books is better than the one preceding it
This book is fantastic from start to finish and the fact that Sanderson was able to seamlessly pick up a series that had already had a dozen large books written in it is nothing short of remarkable

the follow-up book and I was reading these in chronological order not publication order it made me laugh out loud consistently it gave me this huge grin on my face at all the other times that I wasn't laughing and it's honestly I really think that at the time of reading it was the best book that was under 200 pages that I've ever read in my entire life
the second book took that and just ran with it so it took everything I loved about the first one and injected things that I already love and love more than I like the first book
when I read the wolf it felt like I was reading something that was going to end up incredibly special as a series it felt like it gave me those same feelings that something like a Game of Thrones gave me when I first read it and I was excited
