the problem I found when I read this book is that it's just miss advertised ... and then it's not about that
we were both so shocked it then got shortlisted for the prize cuz I was like this is dreadful ... all I remember is it was bad
I just remember reading it and being so confused about what this book was actually trying to tell me and I thought it would be a much more general overview to the concept of myths around the world and it just really wasn't and it was really difficult to read as well
I remember really liking it ... it is it's very weird book ... it's one of those books that doesn't really have plot
I remember thinking at the time that it was quite impressive and interesting with the way it dealt with I guess the weavings of emotion and history within a family how complicated that is
I hated this book I've given it two stars ... what annoyed me about this book is that I thought it was about an event which it then isn't about
I quite enjoyed ... it's a really interesting look at how truth changes
I remember being so boring someone's moved into a house which is occupied by this guy who had died and the rest of the fishing village being like oh you've moved into his house I just was so bad
I literally I couldn't tell you the first thing about this book ... that took me a long time I gave it three stars
