this book is a beating the beasts retelling like I mentioned... I wasn't expecting it to stick with me as much as it has since I've read it

these books are rather smutty be warned if that's not your thing I am but they equally have fantastic characters and interesting plot lines to follow
what I loved about this book is that no voice is more important than the other... it's like this beautiful puzzle of emotions and thoughts and feelings that just pieces together absolutely perfectly by the end
I think this book had a lot of what I look for in a middle grade... it's so much fun it's such a rip-roaring adventure while still dealing with very real subjects and I thought it was really magical
the other books I gave five stars by Julian earlier and did absolutely adore and considered mentioning was the third book in the black learning grim seas
it's just an absolutely fabulous novel and I adore debt I adored all the characters loved my central female character which is so important to me in any novel
I thought it was short and accessible and like a good jumping-off point to then read more
it's absolutely horrendous and I thought it was so heartbreaking and I thought it was so raw and it was an incredible thing for Carrie Hudson to write
if you haven't yet read that I would urge you to give it a shot even if you're not terribly certain about middle-grade as an adult this is the kind of book that might change your mind
this is a literary apocalyptic epidemic horror novel that absolutely blew me away like I could not do Pig down I think I read it in one or two days
this is a book all about the history of race science... it's fascinating and important
it was a short novel it was less than 200 pages... but it manages to really get inside your heart in those few pages the characters like burrow in they're deep and you fall in love with all of them
I also think it is absolutely beautifully written I think in large part it's Diane Sarah fields mastery of the craft of writing that makes it such a compelling narrative
it was perfectly paced there was constantly something happening but never felt rushed and I still felt like she was taking her time to describe the setting and the kind of lush medieval Irish backdrop
the women in the room is all about women's historical involvement in the labor movement particularly in the late eighteen hundreds and early 1900s in Britain but I would encourage everybody to read it
this book specifically kind of traces the history of I mean predominantly black women's lives in America from slavery up until like the civil rights movement in ACS covering different topics... it's a fantastic essay collection every essay is really interesting by itself
I just felt like Wonder Smith completely built on all of the wonderful things that Jessica tenzen set up in book 1 and I am delivered and equally engaging mesmerizing adventure with some real moments of Darkness
