the elements of horror that are in this are absolutely vile they're disgusting... I just absolutely loved this book and the ending was so satisfying

View all videosI really loved the reference to American Psycho... the book that paid the best homage to it was definitely the eyes are the best part
this book was able to convey such strong feelings of paranoia of claustrophobia of sheer anxiety... I'm so happy that this is now within my top five favorite horror novels of all time
this was a really slow and subtle experience into a really weird disturbing folk horror tale... the craftsmanship that went into telling it was absolutely Exquisite
this is the only book that not only did I really enjoy this is the book that became a new favorite for me... it really is disturbing while still being so funny and entertaining
this contains only three short stories in this collection and they were all bangers they were all absolutely fantastic... I love how gross that was I love how weird and parasocial the story was
I absolutely love it I love the variety that this particular short Story collection had to offer they're just so incredibly vast and so different from one another
my barometer for grief has always been Stephen King's Peter syry I'm a big fan huge fan... this book has completely surpassed I might as well just throw the shirt in the bin
if you're going into this thinking you're going to get another version of the only good Indians you're going to be really disappointed but also I would say if you have read the only good Indians and you didn't really enjoy it because of the writing style this is much easier to read and much easier to digest
once I got invested into our main character Jade I was really kicking myself that it was sitting on my shelf for so long... it was just such a fun Charming read
this is the first V Castro book that I ever read and I was really impressed by it. What I loved about the story is that yes it's heavy on The Possession and The Possession scenes were awesome but at its core it's a story of girlhood, it's a story of friendship
I finally built up the courage and man was it worthwhile... this story is very much in its own League it is just an absolute Master Class when it comes to grief based folk horror
this book did not disappoint it was the perfect autumnal book it really delivered on the spooky witchy vibe that I was hoping to read at some point last October
it's really badly written why do we have sentences that you can't even read on one breath like why do they have to be that long
this is a book that I read for my extreme horror reading Vlog last year and again it was a book that I was really disappointed by... the extreme horror elements they really weren't there
this book had so much potential the plh synopsis is fascinating and that's what drew me to pick it up... I ended up just kind of wasting a tenor on this book and not really enjoying it
book four was a let down and book five was just dull it is an incredibly repetitive series as it is it has a tendency to repeat things that are happening in it quite a lot
unfortunately I just felt like the book went on a little bit too long because it ended up starting to get quite repetitive in parts and it just felt like it could have been cut down by at least 50 to 100 Pages
I found it quite difficult to read once that clicked with me... it was just one of those stories that really didn't bring anything new to the table
this book again was quite boring it had a lot of potential I felt and I just kept waiting to see if something was going to happen and I kept reading to see if something was going to happen and ultimately not much happened
I didn't like this book I have a lot of problems with people who recommended this book primarily because so many people didn't mention the fact that this is very much a story of domestic violence
what it comes down to and why I didn't enjoy this novel is that this is something that I have an issue with Mona Awards writing style she has this very fever dreames writing style
what we ultimately got in the end was a lazy rug pull of an ending that had no respect for the reader for the amount of work and time that they've already put into the story and it completely lacked imagination
