This is making me want to go back and try to read again the City of Stairs series because I didn't really like that when I tried to read City of Stairs. I was like, whatever.
a belated midyear freakout tag
I think my least favorite so far was definitely A Fable for the End of the World by Ava Reid... it's bad because you can tell it's supposed to be Hunger Games fanfiction and it would maybe make sense in a Hunger Games context, but not really.
That would have to be the finale of the Fallen God series with Faithbreaker by Hannah Conir. This whole series I think was five stars for me or at least very high fours and I loved it.
I really loved Green Teeth by Molly O'Neal. I have her second book on my TBR shelf somewhere... This was very fun and I'll continue to read books by her.
I finally read Lord of the Rings for the first time. I read The Fellowship of the Ring. I haven't read the entire series. and that was delightful. That made me very happy.
I would say of books that are not rereads, my favorite of the year so far and one I keep talking about to everyone in my like day-to-day life is The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett. This is the first book in a like fantasy mystery series and it takes place in such a cool world.
I reread Witch Shadow by Susan Dennard like last month. I'm doing a reread for the entire series, the entire Witchland series... No, I gave it a four or five when I originally read it.
