But I mostly hate the Darker Shade of Magic series, except for the final book in the first trilogy I really liked. but the first book I found kind of mid. The second book I hated, and the third book I really liked.

I love Addy Laroo and I have very mixed to mediocre feelings about Bury Our Bones and Midnight Soil, which is her most recent release. So, yeah, I would say this one was pretty disappointing. It was written beautifully. The world was pretty good, but I would have liked something else.

The Archive, which is one of her first books, I love.
