The BEST Soft & Hard Science Fiction of 2025 || SFF Reviews

So, a little bit outside my wheelhouse, but I'll be honest, I loved it. I obsessively read it in a single day. Could not put it down.

That being said, for what it is doing, I thought it was well done. The writing is very engrossing and gripping.

Once the actual story picks up, it is a little bit predictable... So, I found this one to be a great page turner.

This book, I think, is a really great balance of hard science fiction mixed in with a really engrossing narrative plot. Because in a lot of ways, I would describe this as a sci-fi thriller.

I do admit the last book or two actually didn't hold my attention very well... but this one really pulled the story back for me. It has some really interesting mechanics to the narrative that is not for everyone, but I thought worked really well within the story, and I just felt like it really brought it back to the things that I love.
