I've since reread it just before filming this video and I loved it as in a new all-time favorite

I enjoy the characters there are definitely some morally great characters in this one where they have different motivations and you don't necessarily trust them but you have to work with them in order to achieve a greater goal which is something I really love when it comes to narrative plots
really this is a placeholder for book two the Dark Forest which is my personal favorite of the three books and definitely is what again pushed this series to become a favorite
since originally reading it I reread it and loved it even more and I really do recommend it again if you're someone who has been leery of the sub genre of environmental fiction
this is one that I enjoy the entire reading process it's a relatively short book and easy to fly through but what really sold it to be a favorite of the year is the fact that it has a very Punchy ending one that to me really elevated the entire story
this is a book I loved so much that I felt compelled to do an individual series review and so definitely go check that out if you want more of my thoughts
with a mention to its sequel parable of the talent which I liked but not quite as much
I absolutely adore the premise it is so dark it's something that I've seen before a few times but quite frankly I never get tired of it I really enjoyed it
I've already reread it once since I finished it I basically finished it and then wanted to go right back to the beginning and enjoyed it even more the second time around
technically I actually read book one several years back and I liked it but didn't love it and I deeply regret not continuing on had I known at the time that this book is almost a prologue to the rest of the series
it is the start of a series and it's one that I liked when I read it but I didn't feel like I fully understood the larger picture that the author was going for and my early assessment was that I felt I would better understand the world once I continued on and read the rest of the series
I was just so enamored virtually I loved every story within the collection which I pretty much never say about short stories
