Best New Sci Fi of 2025? || SFF Reviews

For me, this was the full package. Really enjoyed this one. Highly recommend it.

But unless you really love the series, I don't think this second book had to exist, but it was still pretty fun.

While I enjoyed the first book, I felt like it could have worked as a standalone just because my preference for books leans towards something a little bit more dark and serious.

I enjoyed this last book. I didn't have tons to say about it other than it was a good rompy conclusion and definitely an author that I will be watching out a lot more closely as I come out with new releases because the series overall was a lot of fun.

Again, I'm being way more vague than I should be and my apologies, but I had a lot of fun with this one. I thought the character work was quite well done.

And so despite not loving it as much as I want to, it still was a really strong sequel and really does stand on its own.

Great surprise of the year. New favorite backlist title for 2025. Very likely going to show up on my end of the year list because I loved it a lot.
