these two are a cosmic horror story and i would not say if you're someone who is testing out horror for the first time this might not be the way to go y'all it's no secret that i'm a wimp but even so i found these absolutely terrifying
now the story does evolve as the trilogy goes on because in the follow-up it turns into more of a history which i love
what juniper does here is introduces the town to you and its surroundings and one of the things that i found the scariest about juniper is the old abandoned gel that is there just the feeling anytime any of the characters walk by it and i wanted more
nightfall i have had a lot of people react to it like they did with the gunslinger but if you just keep going and it gets explained better in the subsequent books just like with the dark tower you're going to be in love
i absolutely love the stories it's it's almost like scratches was a haunted house story and it got its inspiration from a house that the author grew up in which is next to a cemetery oh my word i just absolutely loved this book
and then the follow-up severed was even better and i can't really tell you anything about it because it would absolutely spoil scratches for you
sleepwalking also introduces a frightening terror that is definitely hindering and affecting our character's quest
next is my favorite haunted house story ever and it is the patience of a dead man by michael clark
it is just a fantastic series i love the historical aspect of the american revolution what was taking place in new york in the aftermath and it is just fascinating
tome is all about that jail and what happened and how it came to be abandoned this one is a lot darker a lot more fear inducing oh my goodness i am about to die for the third book which ross is actively writing right now i can't wait love this series
