I love all of Amanda Montell's books. This one is a very easy introduction into all kinds of psychological biases that we have, cognitive biases.
these books will heal your brainrot
It's All About Love by bell hooks that I just saw in a bookstore and I had vaguely heard of it somewhere, but just something about this book immediately spoke to me. I have so many notes in it, so many things that I learned from this book.
I recommend as a remedy some existentialist philosophy and there I would recommend at the Existentialist Cafe by Sarah Bakewell, which is a really nice introduction into existentialist philosophy. And what I liked about this book is that she doesn't just explain their philosophy, but she also goes into a little bit of like biography of each of these philosophers.
Through her I found Bluets by Maggie Nelson which is a wonderful poetic little journal almost.
I've also read two other books that I have already recommended many times before on the topic. The new age of sexism and also Empire of AI. These books show more why security is actually necessary.
I read How AI Thinks by Nigel Toone for this. It's very accessible. It starts at like the very, very basics on just like how do computers actually work? ... But policy aside, I thought this was very informative and very easy to understand.
And as an antidote to that feeling, I prescribe to you Letters to a Young Poet by Rainer Maria Rilke... But this book always reminds me that no, you can only find the answers by actually living your life and living through the questions.

The beauty of this series and this prequel is that it shows in real time you as the reader falling for propaganda. And it's also very fun. And also extremely sad and you will cry and you will be on the edge of your seat.
I do want to recommend that you read The Lord of the Rings trilogy. Just generally, I think reading a gorgeous, long piece of fiction, like a long trilogy, I mean all of these books are like over 400 pages long.
Like this book, The Stone of Air by Holly Black. I love Holly Black's fae books.
I was interested in learning more, so I picked up that book and it ended up one of my favorite nonfiction books that I read last year.
