I read all three books in the Imperial Radage series last year, the first one being Ancillary Justice, and really enjoyed it.
All The Books I Want to Read This Summer! (summer reading tbr!)
I read Convenience Store Woman last month by this same author and really enjoyed it. It was a wild ride to say the least.
I've actually already read this book, and I would say this is a really nice balance between romance, obviously, between Alice and Hayden. They kind of have this grumpy sunshine situation going on, but also it very much is about cataloging the family stories.
Of Abby Jimenez's releases that I've read, this is definitely more in the emotional end. And I wouldn't necessarily say it gives summer vibes, but it follows our main characters, Xavier and Samantha, who very much get off on the wrong foot in their first meeting. This is definitely a story that centers not just a romance and kind of like an unexpected romance kind of wrong time, wrong place, but right person with also some very heartfelt and emotional family elements as well.
I really love Christopher Bulman's writing. I've read two other books of his and this is actually a prequel installment to a book I read a couple years ago and loved which was called the black tongue thief.
The first one called the thief introduces us to our main character who is a thief. And we find him at the beginning of book one in prison and he makes a deal with the leader there to basically set out on this impossible mission to steal this impossible artifact. And it's our main character's main prerogative to be as annoying and unhelpful as possible. And to just say that is so unbelievably entertaining is an understatement.
The first one being a very secret society of irregular witches, which is a cozy fantasy romance book that I adore immensely.
