This is like an absurd, laugh-out-loud funny family town story that is like really, really, really bizarre, but also has a lot of heart.

This felt like a secret, unexpected, like five-star read for me. It's also been a minute since I've read a contemporary romance that I loved as much as this.

I did reread The Golden Compass a couple of times in my adulthood. Loved it, but I never like carried on to the next books in the series.

I have finished The Subtle Knife by Philip Pullman. And wow, what an explosive ending, what a captivating story. I was entertained through and through.
