I've also read this. I feel like I've been pretty good so far about reading some of my recent pickups, which I will be taking as a win. Just know it's a very strange but thoughtful experience and I both enjoyed learning about the world and the characters.
BIG UNBOXING BOOK HAUL (booktube made me buy it lolol)
This of course is the sequel to Divine Rivals and this is a romantasy duology story that I honestly enjoyed immensely. In my opinion, I feel like Rebecca Ross is one of my favorite writers when it comes to balancing romance and fantasy plot lines.
A Fate Inked in Blood, which is a romantasy book I read last year and didn't totally love, which might be surprising that I would check out this other very popular series of hers. But here's the thing, I actually really enjoyed like the writing style and the characterization of that series. The plot just didn't fully come together for me in A Fate Inked in Blood.
This has such endearing characters, a great angsty romance full of so much yearning and like true feeling while also having a very emotional core centering this war, especially as our two main characters become wartime correspondents. I just feel like this series has such great balance and I have read book two and I feel like it continues all the things I loved about book one, which I'm happy to report.
And it's also dubbed to be for fans of The Justice of Kings by Richard Swan, which we all know I love dearly.
This is a book I'm actually currently reading and really enjoying. This is described as a fantasy meets romance story in a very dream-like setting. This book very much gives like Miyazaki dream-like Spirited Away vibes in terms of the world and setting.
