And boy, was it so good. Everything escalates within this series just so well.
New Fantasy Books That Are Worth the Read!!
It's essentially a revenge tale inspired by A Tale of Two Cities and set during the French Revolution, and all of these inputs greatly impact the plot, vibe, and emotion of the story, and it's just so unbelievably good. The plot arc of this is just incredible, 10 out of 10.
Richard Swan makes very complex but likable characters and puts them in some very horrifying and scary situations. I was spooked out, but like in a really good way.
The yearning, the agonizing that exists not just between our primary couple within this, but across like literally every couple, will keep you on the edge of your seat. She has the romantic pacing that I want every romance novel to have, and she just delivers again and again and again.
Oh my gosh, this book was delicious. This book was so interesting. And the pacing of this book, the methodical nature of the story, the gray morality of the story, just so good.
This is a multi-generational witch horror book that had one of the most explosive endings I have read in a minute.
This was initially a fantasy standalone, which was exciting, but I think it has since become a series, which is okay, because I love the characters, I love the setup, and I love the story. I would very much like to read more.
This was such a fun plot forward first book to a new series. It had so many elements that worked well for me. A murder investigation, trials, a main character you will fall in love with, a really interesting political system that the whole story took place in.
This book is incredible from beginning to end because the reading experience very much comes off like a ballad. You feel like you're sitting in a cozy tavern and someone is telling this story to you, and the audiobook just perfectly captures that sensation.
The strength of The Few was quite literally everything I could have wanted within this series. It was so action-packed.
Outside of this being one of the most romantic books I have read this year, I loved the characters immensely. I really appreciated the romantic pacing, and I really believed in the love that was created within this story.
