The Buried GiantKazuo Ishiguro
Loved it

I'm liking this book and I'm realizing Kazzy Ishiguro loves memory. Okay. Consistent theme for the three books of his I've read. At the very least, this is really interesting because I'm pretty sure quite a stylistic departure from his typical settings.

This book is 732 pages. And I don't even think I realized how long this book was, but when I just did the calculation of how much I've read at 80%, it's 585 pages. I have flown through this book. I think this is the fastest I've read such a chunky book. I can't wait to finish this fifth installment. It's maybe my favorite so far. It's so good.

I really liked this book. , it's so straightforward in terms of like what you say it's about, but I think the emotional range of the story was really interesting. I think honing in on a character near kind of the twilight, the evening time of his life, and him reflecting on, you know, his past experiences, some of his choices, and specifically how much he's repressed his own emotions and desires in the pursuit of dignity.
