This series is outrageous, funny, has such an interesting like fantasy landscape, and then also really intriguing mysteries that anchor each installment in the series so far.
I liked it. I thought it was quite dark and gripping.
I just felt like the whole thing was incredibly clever and also so emotional. Like I was deeply invested within this book and story and it just completely transported me.
Overall, I appreciated the unique way this book was told. I also liked that it was kind of vague and open-ended. And just in general, I think it was quite clever.
This is just a really fun series with lots of great inputs. The lead of this book, Ropa, is such a delight.
So like I'm scared, I'm angry, but I also really love the main characters in this as well. It's a delicious combination.
And let me tell you, I loved this book so much. First and foremost, H.G. Parry really combines elements of history and fantasy so well.
This is one of my all-time favorite series and it just screams fall. The character dynamics are incredible, hilarious, and heartwarming.
I really appreciated all the different inputs of this story. It has horror elements, particularly of the creepy, crawly variety, but I would also say the story is much bigger than you would anticipate first picking up.
