the plot and the story were just too underdeveloped and that might have that might have something to do with the length and in fact I think that has a lot to do with the length where ultimately I just couldn't get invested in the story or the characters enough
The WORST Books of 2016!
- Biggest Disappointments of 2016 · 5 books
I felt the characters were kind of destroyed or like thrown under the bus in ways that didn't match their character regardless if it should be on stage or not I'm talking about Hermione and talking about Ron
ultimately I felt like the magic system in this was just not well explored it was confusing the character motivations didn't totally match up or even make sense and ultimately I felt like it kind of fell victim to a lot of typical ya tropes that I just don't generally like to read very much
ultimately I just found this book to be so boring like I it's not even long it's not even 300 pages long but I was like moving through this like oh God it was so painful at times
I just could never get in to the story I think that was the perspective it written was written and it was in first person and the whole time it's a very long book I just felt like I would never understood or really cared about our main characters
