The WORST Books of 2021!

i read the first one a discovery of witches last year and really enjoyed it for what it was

i was really excited to pick it up because i love bringing down the duke by this same author

i would say at the end of the day the story was just okay for me it didn't blow me out of the water i found the plot to be rather expected

i liked this book i was really excited to pick it up because i love bringing down the duke by this same author but this one sort of fell flat for me

not only did i find the pacing to just be so off what really bugged me was it was basically a repeat of half of the plot of the first book just in a different time in setting ... ultimately i ended up dnfing this book

so much of this book was really well done but ultimately there's just one thing but a very important thing that i was a little underwhelmed with ... the actual mystery of this book which obviously it being a thriller to be predictable

this is a book that was just excellent the first 50 of this book was like a five star read and then the second half of this book was like a two star read

this is another very beloved like new york times bestseller book that for me like was by no means bad but was also by no means great ... i also gave like a 2.75 three stars

while i loved our two main characters a lot of the plot and history of this book the romance which in my opinion is like the second most important plotline of this story was just a big no for me

i loved the ghost bride by yongshichu which i read earlier this year ... the ghost bride was spectacular

my lowest rated book of the year and that is to sleep in a sea of stars by christopher paolini ... i ended up giving it like a 1.5 two stars it was again my most disappointing read of the year
