my top 10 books of 2023 🏆

I've read her Wizards guide the baking Wizards guide you know the baking one I read that one which again had high stakes it was about protecting a city and like a whole battle in ensues and there was a scene in that book that like genuinely made me cry

the last Emily Henry book that I read was Book Lovers and I was a little like it was good but I was a little disappointed in that one overall

number four is the entire locked tomb series a little bit of a cheat here but I read all of them in a matter of days so really they exist in my head as like one entity

I was so pleasantly surprised by how much I loved this one

I think that this is an excellent character portrait I think it does a wonderful job of introducing us to a character who is very complicated

Even if you are somebody who is not a non-fiction reader I found this incredibly moving and accessible

I think that this is such an incredible work there's a way that this used language and literary devices in order to deliver the story and it was like incredible to experience real time

I've also read nettle and Bone by te king fisher which has some darker subject matters and elements but still manages to read cozy

I feel like I was very much engaged and Blown Away by how cinematic and fast-paced this was while also managing to be like surprisingly deep in sort of what it was attempting

I loved these characters so much there is a way that Hal's characterization comes through a lot of repetition like we're told a lot about like certain of her personality traits and so it can become a little bit grading but I ultimately enjoyed Hala as a character so much

I really appreciated the way that it speculative elements supported the romance I will say that as a romance it has a couple of elements that are not going to be for everyone

I ended up being completely enamored with the experience of reading this book I will say that this isn't one that I would necessarily recommend widely for in number of reasons
