I read the one about the Kennedy assassination, didn't love it.

Book one of the Wounded Kingdom by RJ Barker. I gave this two stars... and then it just got dull from the start and went dull as it went along. It ends up being this kind of mystery novel, I very rarely love those, but it was so slow, it didn't have any of these epic heights, I didn't fall in love with any of these characters.
This is a standalone by Cormac McCarthy. I gave it a one star... what I got was this supposedly literary masterpiece where you're supposed to piece together every little sentence... and it's a chore, it's a bore.
This is the prequel to Legends and Lattes by Travis Baldree. I ended up giving this two stars... even though I got out of this book a really light read and easy and just a feel-good kind of book, it just didn't work. I mean it took all of the soul from the first book for me and just kind of got rid of all the things that made it addicting and fun.
I loved Empire of the Vampire, the first book that I read of his, which is the most recent book that he's written, and it just blew me out of the water. I love this vampire story, the way it's written is so beautiful.
The Gods of the Wyrdwood, his most recent book in the Forsaken series, I think it's called The Forsaken Trilogy, was wonderful. It was one of my favorite books that I read this year.
I liked the first book, I think I gave it four out of five stars, maybe even four and a half, and it just hit all the right spots for me... it just had this lightness to it and what I really needed at the time.
Nevernight Chronicle was horrific, I mean it was definitely one of the worst books that I read this year. The writing was absolutely atrocious, truly atrocious... but worst of all, most of the book is just horrifyingly boring.
This is book one of Night Angel by Brent Weeks. I ended up giving this a one-star DNF. It's just not what I had come to expect from Brent Weeks... the characters in the story for me just had no soul and it felt way more YA than his other works that I read and the plot just never drew me in.
This is book one of the Library Trilogy by Mark Lawrence. I gave this one a one star sadly... it's got this kind of bizarre uncovering of this mystery and everything feels kind of dreamlike and you don't know what's real and what's not real.
This is book one of Memory, Sorrow and Thorn by Tad Williams. I give it one star, I couldn't finish it, I read about 60% of the way through... it's an absolutely enormous book and there was one moment finally, like 150 or so pages in, where I'm like this is exciting, and then it was exciting for like two pages and then we went back to dull.
This is book two of The Dark Tower by Stephen King. I ended up giving this two stars... I think it was like the book that I dislike the most out of Stephen King. It just was trash to me... it's just a mess.
This is book one of the Tales of Tremaine series by R.R. Virdi. I gave this one a zero stars... it's just a ripoff of the Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss, more than a lot, like entirely a ripoff with some character name differences and some slight scene differences.
I read the Gunslinger, totally didn't like it.
I read The Stand, you know, didn't love it.
This is book 12 of Cradle by Will Wight, this is the final book in the series, and I gave it two stars... it just left me severely disappointed that I spent so much time getting invested in the story for an ending that just didn't work.
