DISAPPOINTING BOOKS OF 2018

overall I did enjoy Ace of Shades and I'm excited to read the next book in the hopes that some of the issues I had with this are fixed SL some of the questions are answered but it fell a little flat for me which was disappointing because I had such high hopes going in

I had quite a few issues with this first of all I think I would have preferred things if it was restructured with the characters like I didn't care too much for Joven as a character I was really intrigued by Kina in the last half of the story

the main thing that fell flat for me with this one was the World building and kind of the characterization for some of the main characters I feel like not enough was explained so I was left so confused

I really thought I was going to love this more than I did I was so intrigued by the fairy tale retelling and it had the Russian setting I found that this one was quite slow in the middle again it felt like it dragged a little bit

I did have some major issues with the writing but most of all I just didn't really care for the characters and therefore didn't really care what happened to them or what happened in the story
