FAVOURITE BOOKS OF 2017

this man this one i loved i understand the hype now i totally do and this is another book that i'm kind of kicking myself for not having read it sooner because i was seriously missing out on all of that section but also for the story as well

i also started the a court of thorns and roses series by sarah j maas and i did enjoy the first book a court of thorns and roses

this one we actually get to dive into one of those worlds which i found to be so satisfying i really enjoyed it was so much darker than i was expecting i don't know why i didn't expect it like look at the cover it looks gloomy it certainly was gloomy

this was kind of the turning point in the series delving into that darker and more sinister territory and i liked the characters that we are introduced to and the characters were reintroduced to in draekora

i think one of the great things about these books is that although they are really short in size i don't think the length of them is at any detriment to the story itself the only problem that i had with the size of these books is that i really enjoyed these so i wanted more

this was my third time reading the book and this time i listened to the audiobook i would highly recommend both reading the physical copy and listening to the audiobook as well either format is an incredible way to experience the book

i think one of the things i really appreciated about god's grave was how different it felt to never night not only the setting but also the tone and the atmosphere and the level of action that we get in god's grave it's very different from never night

i went into this knowing pretty much nothing except for the fact that it was a sci-fi book and i think that's the best way to go into this series and to experience the books not knowing much of anything because any expectations you had will probably be blown out the water

in gravel the stakes are getting higher and higher and i loved seeing how strong alex has become as a character in this one in particular

in this one we have a dog called the disreputable dog who is just so lovable so incredibly lovable and the fact that we do have these animal companions on the characters journeys they go on these kind of adventure quests and along the way these animals are by their side providing some humor amidst all of the seriousness and the darkness that they're experiencing

this was such a feel-good book we have so much girl power and feminism i just really enjoyed seeing all of these girls in this high school coming together it just made me feel all warm and fuzzy inside seeing them banding together and working as one

i wanted to dive back into the world and experience the greatness that is nevernight once more this was one of my favorite reads of 2016

the first 50 pages of red rising i was enjoying plotting along a little bit then all of a sudden i was thrown headfirst into everything and fell absolutely in love with the series oh my goodness that was so entertaining

one of my favorite things about this fantasy series is definitely the magic systems that we have in place there are two main kinds of magic that we explore in these books and i really liked diving into the world and learning all about these different magics and how they work

my gosh this was beautiful it was a beautiful story with a beautiful setting incredible characters the writing was just superb

the title tells you what's going to happen at the end but even still the book just makes you fall so deeply and madly in love with these characters and you're just hoping you are hoping and praying that it won't end like you know it will
