This book I could not put it down and I don't actually know if it really breaks the mold but it was like a book that I loved so much. It's such wholesome, stressful fun.

I loved all these characters so much. It's multiple point of view, you have like two characters from the present day and I think one from the past, there's trans representation it was so lyrical so pretty every sentence just melted in my brain.

Loved it

Each of Us a Desert is it doesn't follow the typical mold, because it's very introspective. It's very slow paced, I think the setting is very unique. And I really love the Latin influence in this story.

But I had such a fun time, the first third and the last third. Were so fast paced, like could not put it down I was heart palpitations, I was so stressed. The middle third was slower but not in a bad way.

I like this book a lot. This book was such a surprise and I wasn't even going to prioritize it or read it but it was so good.

But the first book, it's solid, and, you know, you can read the whole trilogy, or you could just read the first book that's my opinion. And there are some issues I have with the plot and the character work in the series overall. But for the most part, he was completely exactly what I wanted a very easy read with a really cool world that I got to explore.

I really liked it. I thought the found family elements were particularly strong with this one. And yeah, my only complaint is the falling action, which could be redeemed in the second book.
