But by the end, I was actually really impressed with the character arcs that I got to see unfold.

I liked the character studies, I liked this angle on a near future situation.
Daughter of the moon goddess was definitely something that met my expectations.
I got the audiobook and it was just a pleasant engaging surprise. I liked getting to know Charlie and the German shepherd.
It's a difficult book. It's a dense book. It's a but it is. It is really good art.
it's a really fun series and based off the reviews that I had read and consumed, it met my expectations.
And it was this historical folklore fantasy, and I just really wasn't expecting to be so swept away and immersed in that 100 Page time period.
But this was neither good escapism, or good romance.
I think what I liked the most about it was the consume ability of it. I could not put it down.
It was fine for me. I don't think I'm going to continue in this series, but it was what I expected it to be.
I kind of was hoping for a tiny bit more. But the sense of place and coming home was really strong in this.
I was just completely enthralled with this main character and the relationships she formed and how the magic was used.
I was struggling to put this down before 3am while I read it, which is what I want from an Ali Hazelwood book.
Maria was a pleasant surprise. I'll put that here. This is a short story collection I didn't even know about till Evie put it on my radar and we buddy read it.
I love middle game so much. It's one of my favorite books
But it's everything I like from whimsical dark fairy tales.
I had a really good time with it was a four out of five star. But I will say it's not really a sci fi romance like winters orbit was it's more of a sci fi story with a strong romantic element.
I don't like it as much as the Jasmine throne because it has a slightly different focus in his plot, which is fine. It's just not like my preference. Still a five star read.
I read this and it was lovely. I really wanted to story where hair was the focus and one's relationship to hair.
It was overwritten. It's just not my thing.
I just feel like no one's been talking about this book. And I really like this one.
I couldn't put it down I was having such a good time I was completely immersed was a fantastic experience.
That's like one of the best anthologies I've ever read in terms of being consistent with it's concise, short stories.
I mean, the plot had issues in its pacing. I didn't always love all the characters like it's not a perfect book, but it's underrated.
This one is more a main character problem. I just could not get on with her.
I love it. I adore it. It's right here.
It's just that there is a character pivot halfway through, and there are reasons for it. But like, it was too jarring for me. The execution just did not work for me.
I had so much fun with it. The audiobook is phenomenal. It's creepy.
I had a blast with the last metal. Again another book I kind of read the end of it in like one sitting it was a conclusion of a series.
His prose style is amazing how he is incorporating diverse perspectives into traditional tropes and then also framing the narrative to make it his own. Unmatched and really, really consumable, incredible stories.
It's a solid four star short story anthology. That's what I always hope anthologies will be for me because you have misses, you have hits, right.
But it's a Jemisin. So of course I loved it met my expectations. And is a new fave, of course, I just love it so much.
And there's just T. Kingfisher in both metal and bone and what moves the dead has this ability to make me connect to characters and character interactions and dynamics instantly.
