2024 Bookish Holiday Gift Guide

this is such a cozy paranormal romance if you know somebody that likes books about witches who likes contemporary romance who likes a little bit of magic and wants something like warm that will wrap them up on a cold Winter's Eve then this is the perfect book

most of which I have read from cover to cover and learned a lot from as an adult but my favorite will always be fanatical about frogs which was the first one I read

this is Jennifer Saints like book Hera which I think is actually my favorite Jennifer Saint book so far because Hera is such a fascinating character she is in some ways not the good guy and it's a really compelling fascinating book

one of the best historical fiction books I've come across this year was the Kings Witches by Kate Foster and this is set during the early reign of James I 6 of Scotland before I believe he became James the first of England as well and during the early days of the Scottish Witch Trials

it takes the kind of like fun mystery of a group of teenagers who decide to investigate crime that may or may not be paranormal which Scooby-Doo has and brings it to a ya novel which also features a wonderful like subplot of romance between two young boys at high school and I think this is just an absolutely fantastic book right page Turner

there's a North myth volume and now a myths of China volume which let me tell you is absolutely fascinating I loved reading this book as an adult this volume is absolutely spectacular

this is one of the most recent children's graphic novels that I've read it actually came out in 2023 so it's not a 2024 release but it's still pretty recent and it is absolutely stunning both again in artwork and in storyline

one of my favorite new thriller books of 2024 was night will find you by Julia Hein so this is the one I thought I'd include here I think this has like Mass Appeal because not only is it a really compelling mystery but it's also a compelling character study with very evocative writing

we have a couple already that we constantly use particularly aeni simple one of our absolute favorites

I would have loved this as a teenager loved it as an adult and really this could also make a lovely gift for adults

one of my favorites again from this year is Whiskey Business by Elliot Fletcher and this is a Highland romance well specifically set in the aisle of Sky
