20 Books I Read in June ☀️

I gave this a 3.5. ... I know I said I liked it more than the average person. 3.5 isn't a fantastic rating, but the book club generally did not like this one.

Ann of Green Gables was a four by LM Montgomery. ... I'm just going to say Anna Green Gables because you can't argue with me that Ann is not a fun character to read.

And then the number one thing I guess I would recommend is Anxious People because I've read this because of its popularity and I see it. I don't think there's anything that I would disreg. It wasn't my perfect book that I can see why it's a crowd-pleaser.

I ended up quite liking this one. I gave it a four.

So, this is Be Gay, Do Crime, and it is 16 stories of queer chaos. I gave it a four.

And then Blood Over Bright Haven by ML Wang. ... Blood Over Bright Haven was a four.

And I also read Cassandra in reverse by Holly Smail. ... This one was a two.

I ended up giving it a two. ... I just thought this was so incredibly dry and dull and kind of palatable.

I gave Eat the Ones You Love by Sarah Marie Griffin a 3.5. ... I wanted it to be more camp and more fun and more satirical and be truly the same kind of tone as Little Shop of Horrors.

Then I did a buzzword video of course I read Harrow the Ninth which I gave a four.

And I ended up reading a five star of the month, If an Egyptian cannot speak English by Nora.

my other favorite read of the month was Immaculate Conception by Lingling Hong. ... I gave it a 4.5.

I read It Last Forever and Then It's Over by And Markin, which I gave a four.

Kim Jong Born 1982 by Cho Namju translated by Jamie Chang.

I read a romance only because it's you by Rebecca Fisha. ... I gave it a 3.75 which is what I give like all romance.

And then also a three, Sisters by Daisy Johnson.

And then Spells for Forgetting by Adrien Young I gave a three. ... Spells for Forgetting because for some reason I just assumed this was going to be a five-star like little magical island romance and it let me down.

The Lava in My Bones by Barry Webster, I gave a three. I think when I did a little like mini update on TikTok, I said that it was a four, and I was mistaken. This was a three.

To be taught a fortunate by Becky Chambers was another five star.
