Okay, next favorite, I guess I would put 50 Ways to Protect Bookstores. I don't think there's anything wrong with this. I give it a four because I didn't feel particularly impressed by the writing in any way.
Books I Haven't Told You About Yet 🎅 December Reading Wrap-up
Amity by Nathan Harris, which I gave a four.
The Anne Impossible Imposter and Hum. I read both of these and I gave them both 3.75 stars.
And I read Christmas with Chris Kringle by Kesha Thompson and gave this three stars.
I gave this a four. Maybe like a 3.75. I don't think I liked it as much as other Billy Ray Belcourt.
My other favorite, Curse Daughters by Oyinkan Braithwaite, I gave 4.25, I think.
I really like the structure of the book because it felt representative of what was happening. I loved Nadia as a character.
I guess my actual disappointment is going to be Good Spirits because like yeah I gave it a three and maybe I would have predicted it to be a four. The hope was definitely a five.
Hark the Herald Angels Scream, an anthology edited by Christopher Golden, I gave two stars.
The Anne Impossible Imposter and Hum. I read both of these and I gave them both 3.75 stars.
I did a Goodreads video where I read 13 books from all different categories and I read Immortal by Su Lin Tan and gave it four stars.
My two favorites, The Jane Austen's Bookshelf by Rebecca Romney, I gave five stars.
So it no doubt had elements I enjoyed but it also wasn't very inventive and yeah I'm never going to think about this again.
And then Miss Winter in the Library with a Knife that I gave a three by Martin Edwards.
So, Persephone's Curse by Katrina Leno was my favorite. I gave this four stars. It's the perfect as like the cover suggests, winter holiday kind of vibe.
I read Secret Santa by Sophie Jomain. I gave this two stars.
I also read The Bewitching by Silvia Moreno-Garcia and gave this a three.
The Correspondent by Virginia Evans, I gave it a 3.75. The Correspondent because this is a full cast narration. I think that made it feel very alive as it's written in letters.
The Everlasting by Alexis Henderson, I gave it a four in the moment, but I can't stop thinking about this book. And I think I'm giving it a 4.25.
One of them was The Kill Clause, which I gave a three.
The Serviceberry by Robin Wall Kimmerer and gave that three stars.
Until Summer Ends Part by Megan Quinn, I gave 4.25 or 4.5, I don't actually remember.
And then Woodworking by Emily St. John James, I gave a four.
