The Best Books of 2022

this book is messy it's messy it's got love triangle Vibes that I think I didn't mind I thought that it was a hot mess there was a lot of great sexual tension a lot of great angst

this is a good balance of not just the negative or the harmful aspects but also the communities that were built amongst black enslaved peoples

I love confessions of an alleged good girl so much Joya goffney is an auto buy author Auto by hands down

this was just written beautifully and in a very accessible way I know that there's been so much conversation about whether this book is classified as why a or as an adult

this is a story that does capture that conversation very well and we see a younger black girl just enjoying reading it is a love letter to libraries so many great elements the artwork was beautiful

Delilah green does not care was everything and if Ashley Herring Blake continues if everything that she writes it's like this I'm in for some trouble

what I loved and appreciated about this book is Ruby got checked because even the Ruby knew about white privilege she was engaging in white privilege and in white savior complex

this was a memoir it was beautifully written and it definitely talks a lot about Viola Davis's experience growing up

this is a non-fiction book that is extremely accessible it's it's told in short enough chapters that I think that it's easy to digest

I really enjoyed this book with that being said though it is a lot it is one of my favorite reads clearly of 2022

I think that Nana is just brilliant of course we all were reading Nana because Brie from the lot petition absolutely loves Nana

this was just really good it's definitely X-Men Vibes but what I did like about this book is that while it does give you X-Men Vibes the characters are written in a way that makes them distinctive

this book is gritty it is dark it is violent it is violet on page and I was not expecting that

one of my favorites is salt to the Sea and we get to see World War II but from the perspective of people from Lithuania

I read it and I understand it literally follows a wolf that is trying to be good is trying to kind of flip the narrative on how people view the big bad wolf

I did end up reading a second book by isabellende this past year and that was a Japanese lover which was just as good

this one I definitely added because it had a huge emotional impact on me when I read it this past year

it was just beautifully done we are following this woman who takes charge of her life and doesn't let anyone tell her how she should live how she should feel and it cost her in some situations
