It was just weak. It was a weak plot. It could have been a lot more dark and mysterious than it was. I didn't care about the characters nearly as much as I think I should have.
FIRST QUARTERLY WRAP UP| 2026
This one again, boring, no plot, no character development, couldn't care less about it. It made no sense, just boring upon boring.
And Now Back to You by B. K. Borison, a four out of five.
Carl's Doomsday Scenario by Matt Dinniman and also Carl's the Anarchist Cookbook by Matt Dinniman, books two and three of Dungeon Crawler Carl. I gave them both a three out of five.
Dungeon Crawler Carl by Matt Dinniman, a five out of five. This is the first book. If you just want a good palate cleanser, a fun fantasy book, this is a great one.
Her Last Breath by Taylor Adams, a three and a half out of five.
How to Kill a Guy in Ten Dates by Shaylin Thomas, I gave a four out of five.
And Her Own League by Liz Tomfordy, a four out of five.
I read In Your Dreams I read In Your Dreams by Sarah Adams, which I also gave a three out of five.
It's Not Her by Mary Kubica, a three out of five.
My last favorite might have to be My Husband's Wife by Alice Feeney. I'm just as shocked as you because Alice Feeney is such a hit or miss author for me. I enjoyed this one a ton and I could see being on my favorites at the end of the year.
The New Couple and Five B by Lisa Unger I also gave this one a three out of five.
So, first up, I've read Nine Perfect Love Songs by Julie Soto, which I gave a three out of five.
No Matter What by Kara Bastone, another generous three out of five.
The audiobook is a work of art, quite honestly. It is phenomenal. Love it, obsessed with it, can't talk enough about it. If you digest this book in any way, let audiobook be the only way.
The cover of this, it pains my heart so deeply to say I don't like this book, but it was just it was boring. I had to really sludge my way through this book and it bums me.
Carl's Doomsday Scenario by Matt Dinniman and also Carl's the Anarchist Cookbook by Matt Dinniman, books two and three of Dungeon Crawler Carl. I gave them both a three out of five.
Five star of the year was The Future Saints by Ashley Winstead. I wasn't expecting to love this one nearly as much as I did, but oh my gosh, I did. This is about a band that goes viral and it's also about grief and losing somebody.
I listened to The Martian, one of my favorite sci-fis of all time.
I didn't dislike this one at all. I didn't dislike this one a lot, but I just at the end I just felt icky, I guess you could say. I wasn't a full lover of it and I think this book's going to be very polarizing.
Then we also have This Book May Be Thank You by Libby Page. I didn't give this one a full five out of five, but I loved it. This one again, it does talk a lot about grief, but it's so heartwarming.
The Story Might Save Your Life by Tiffany Crum, a four out of five. Again, audiobook, I think really impacted my rating.
I couldn't even tell you what it's about. It had no plot, no substance, no character growth, nothing. It was so boring beyond boring.
