So emotional, so beautiful. Like Frederick Bachmann has a great way of re of doing humor and also really putting a lot of sad parts. He really balances them out quite well.
SAD GIRL BOOKS
It's just so beautiful yet sad. And it this book really shows you how time is so precious with family and things like that.
I always will shout about this book from the rooftops because it's very underrated and I love it. But the cover will fool you, but it is a very sad but beautiful book.
It is a beautiful book, but oh my gosh, is it sad. Like, it's so sad. It was beautiful like all of Taylor Jacobs Reads books, but again, insanely sad.
Honestly, her other two releases are also very emotional just for the summer about two characters that are going through a lot of things with their parents and dealing with their parents' choices and I how they have to like kind of circumvent them and so they're trying to fall in love but they're like can we really do that because we have all this crap going on in our lives.
It's just it's a beautiful book. It's a sad book because she's grieving but she's also grieving a relationship that she had many moons ago. and it's a beautiful one that I don't hear a lot of people talk about, but I loved it.
I didn't love this one, but I have to say like when it comes to like sadness and things like that, I think it really truly hit the nail on the head with grieving because grieving is so personal to every single person.
And then we have Say You Remember Me, which I didn't love nearly as much but this one packed an emotional punch to me because it's all about a character that's parent is going through dementia.
And it's very, very tumultuous, very intense, an amazing, amazing read.
And it's just a beautiful book. An underrated Abby book for sure, but a very emotional as well.
This one, top of the top, my favorite book of all time. This is the only book I have ever remembered vividly, tears streaming down my face, hitting the pages.
I loved it. Highly, highly recommended. Like I said, funny but also very sad as well.
This is set during the Vietnam War. And I don't think it's as emotionally draining as her other books, but it's about a character that becomes a nurse in the Vietnam War, and it really sheds a light on women and people that served in the Vietnam War. So, it's amazing.
