Read that I did not love, but I still want to talk about because it does have a summery setting is The Bachelorette Party by Camilla Sten... I did not enjoy it. The characters were straight up horrible all of them who cared less.
I read this 3 years ago, loved it. It is a sci-fi horror and that is not usually my genre... I always think about it in the summer time and it is really, really good and very, very creepy.
Much like Something in the Water by Catherine Steadman. I read this many moons ago because the cover love the cover. I did not like it at all, but goodness me if it's not a summery setting.
I have The Last One by Will Dean. I read this a few years ago on a whim. Loved it. It's like one of my favorite thrillers of all time.
What started this whole idea for me was when I read The Night Swim by Megan Goldin. This is probably like if anyone wants like a summer thriller, this is my kind of number one I go to because it's got a summery setting. It's fast-paced. It's got podcasts involved. I'm like, what can't you love about this book? So I really enjoy it.
My favorite of hers has always been The Woman in Cabin 10. And this is very summery because again, it's set on a cruise... Look, I'm not a fan of Ruth Ware. We all know this, but I do enjoy this one and would recommend it for a summer thriller.
It is addicting. The ending, chef's kiss, amazing, but it's got a great summer camp setting. It's got all the recipe you need for like a summer thriller.
