I love her book Alex Approximately, it's one of my favorite YA summer books. I always recommend it.
THE BOOKS I READ IN MAY
My four-star read of the month is Dolly All the Time by Annabel Monaghan, another summer staple for me. I love her books. This is a great one... I loved her son in this book. I loved her brother, her dad. It was a great book.
Next we have The Ship Hers by Katherine Center. I gave this one a three out of five... This is not one of my favorite Katherine Center books... It just wasn't it for me. Which is bummed because I love Katherine Center. I just it was just kind of as what the kids say, mid.
For making a middle of the road, we have the new Carley Fortune book, Our Perfect Storm... I did not love the characters in this book. I did not like the romance as much... but I will say summer settings chef's kiss... It wasn't it for me and gave it a three out of five.
Then my two five stars, both of these. So, first up I want to talk about The Burning Side by Sara Damoff... Freaking loved it... Five out of five. Can't recommend it enough.
First up I have the Daisy Chain Flower Shop by Laura Gehlman. I wouldn't give this four out of five. I'll give it like three and a half out of five. This is the sixth book in the Dream Harbor series... I like it. I continue on with the series cuz it's a good time and I'm a seasonal reader if nothing else.
And then, of course, my favorite of the month is this nostalgic purposes. Yes, I listened to Fellowship of the Ring by J.R.R. Tolkien... I freaking loved it. I loved my favorite character still Samwise. I love him. Five out of five.
My least favorite book by a landslide was unfortunately The Summer of Lost Things by Jen Bennett. This one bumps me out so much... I gave it two out of five, that bumps me. I really have to dislike a book to give it a two out of five, I'm just going to be 100% honest with you. It was just It was okay. It was not for me.
