Not a fanI was really excited for this one, I would say it's a disappointment for me. Nothing happens and the end twist was not that interesting, the characters weren't interesting, I don't think it was written very well.

Loved itI read Daisy darker by her last year, loved it, made my favorites list. She has a great way with atmosphere and her settings and her Thrillers.
My least favorite book that I read in 2023 was the engagement party by Darby Kane. I read it, did not like it, like it was just horrible. The characters were horrible, not one redeeming character.
Carly Fortune blew into the scene of the book world two years ago with every summer after, which I did enjoy, I do enjoy that book. I think I read it at five.
This one was so boring, this one had a lot of point of views that was not necessary. The twists weren't that great, the characters weren't that great, the setting wasn't a great setting at all.
I dnf one of her books this year too, I think it was the invitation. I got like maybe 30 pages in and I was like this is just not for me and so I like cut it.
The romance did not make any sense to me, wasn't feeling it. The setting could have been a lot better and it just could have been great but it wasn't.
The plot twist was not that twisty. It was only 260 pages and it felt too long, I just didn't love it. Nothing really happened, it was just boring as mess.
It says it's a standalone holiday romcom, it is not a holiday book, it is not. Another thing that annoyed me were the characters. The romance was not great in this book, the characters were not great.
