And oh my gosh, I did not like this book whatsoever. I did not love the romance. Didn't really feel it. It wasn't as fun as the first one.

This is the first Emily Henry book I have not given a five star to. I adore Emily Henry. And I just found it boring honestly. I did not care. Even the romance I was not invested in.
Wasn't for me. I just didn't love the romance. I didn't really feel connected to it.
I read P.S. I Hate You by Lauren Connelly last year and made my favorites of the year.
I didn't really feel like they connected with each other. I felt like the relationship was built upon nothing in this book. I love Hannah Bum Young, but this book was not it for me and I was very bummed about it.
This one just did not do it for me when I think about it. And I don't know, the romance just wasn't working for me.
No, I did not enjoy this whatsoever. But the beginning was great. It was going really great. And then the middle, it felt like the longest middle ever. It was so boring.
I read The Blonde Identity earlier in 2025 and the sequel, The Blonde Who Came in From the Cold, came out later this year. This is just a fun spy novel. I just had a good time with it and was expecting for the second one to have that, but it just didn't hit the same for me.
