🏆 11 Best Books of 2024 ✨

the pacing was also a little bit off for me the entire experience was just the definition of blah to the point where I don't actually even know if I'm going to pick up the fourth book

this is a manga that is really difficult to explained to me reading it was an experience and it left like really good kind of mental footprint in my brain

sometimes that is a big Miss for me but this in particular was a really big hit I enjoyed the humor I enjoy the story

I genuinely enjoyed this from start to finish I really vividly remember the whole experience even though I read it in January

I did then read the invocations by the same author because I was so again I was like oh this is yummy I did enjoy that not as much as this one though

Jade city is a book about turf wars we follow one family in particular with little bits of the opponents as well and the magic system in this is also quite unique because it is as you would maybe predict from the title powered by Jade

I really enjoyed the exploration of the societal type of topics but at the same time I also enjoyed how messy the entire thing was

I have a very vivid memory of listening to this in a car whil I was driving from my doctor's appointment and thinking if I will need to actually pull over on the highway because I was like tearing up listening cuz it was the very end of it

the characters and the character interaction Dynamic is definitely the driven Factor as well as the world the world is so rich the magic is so like I could believe it all of these characters and the world felt so like I didn't question it

I had no reading fatigue with this story it was just so wholesome

this is not going to be for everyone and I think a unique title is a good way to go but I give it five stars and I've only had I think four books maybe five or five stars this year I had a wonderful time with it
