View all videosthe story reminds me a little bit of the air affair and i liked that story okay ... i also struggled with the air affair in the same way i didn't have that connection to the story because it's kind of pulling real life and fiction together
i just didn't like it i from the start didn't like the setting i didn't like the world i just i did not like it's set in a kind of i would say like great gatsby era or sort of 1920s inspired kind of era in america
i found it really disjointed i found it very difficult to like the characters i found it very difficult to empathize with them because of the way it was written so i didn't didn't like this i gave up on it page 150
if you like sword of kygen i think you'd like this they're very different but they are equally matched on how well they're written and how fun they are and just yeah the excitement
i love this and i'm kind of rooting for it to win so i've done a full review so i'll link it below i won't go into too much detail but yeah this was definitely my favorite of the year 100 just thought it was fantastic it had some cool twists that i didn't see coming
i love this it was so evocative and beautiful and completely different to every other fantasy i've read in terms of setting in terms of pacing in terms of dealing with some really harsh subjects as well as just being beautifully written and so immersive
i love these steve and i have been listening to them together which is why we've been taking them really slow but we honestly love this series it makes us laugh so much it is so steamy so rompy so over the top and very lgbt on all the characters but my god it's a laugh and it's a lot of fun
this one got five stars from me i really enjoyed it's the second one in a series by ian gregoire called the apprentice in the master shadow this is a pretty dark series definitely doesn't stray away from kind of going into exploring dark places with our main characters and just generally being very magic filled as well
it's called doing time and i really love this series it's a continuation of the chronicles of saint mary's series so it's set in the same world but it follows slightly different characters although there is a fair bit of overlap between the two storylines and the characters in both of them i love it i think it's a lot of fun
it's still my favorite one in the series i reread it i also started watching the tv show which i highly recommend and i just generally love it and think it's such an important book to read whilst you're in school but also just to read generally whether you've read it before or not
i really recommend this i gave it five stars i think honestly it was such an enlightening read especially if you are from britain and you want to know more about your history and your culture
this one's probably my favorite tj clue book and it's one that i find very easy to recommend to everyone because it is not sexy in any way but it is very much lovely and heartwarming and beautiful it's so beautiful it's such a good story and i honestly think the world would be a better place if everyone read this so i highly recommend this one as well
i was really sad to dnf this one because it was actually the cover pick winner and i loved the cover i thought the covers so beautiful and so different but the book itself really didn't work for me in fact it was one of the most confused stories i've read in a while
unfortunately this book felt really underdeveloped we follow a character called frey who for some reason is unable to do magic and she's living in this tiny little town kind of trying to find out more about her past and why she can't do magic really didn't like frey as a character
this series i feel like has a lot of similar ideas to most urban fantasies i've read before and it just doesn't have that sake kind of fun character that i could latch on to and really enjoy so it let me down a little bit in that area
there's a lot to like about this book but there's also a lot that is very familiar to me stuff that i've definitely seen done to death a thousand times so it's fun and if you like tolkien style stuff i think you might very much like this book but for me it just didn't feel original enough
this book really didn't work for me right from the very beginning although it has a concept of angels behind it and demons presumably too i like that kind of thing usually but i found this particular book to be quite voyeuristic and quite focused on the male gaze
it has interesting concepts it just completely grossed me out and i couldn't deal with carrying on and also the politics side of it was a weird twist for me
I just think this is a hilarious adventure so I really enjoyed this and I would definitely recommend it if you're looking for something a bit more lighthearted
it was one of my all-time favorites of the year and of SPF Bo in general that I've read I would highly recommend it is kind of horror in style so if you don't like sort of gore and dark stuff you're probably not gonna like this it has cannibalism it has dark things in the story and I've done a full review of this so I won't go into too much detail about it but suffice to say I really enjoyed it the writing was so lyrical and beautiful despite the horrible stuff it was discussing
I really enjoyed this it's the first one in a series and I read it as part of the SP FBO I have done a full review of this so I'll link that but basically it's a world where there is a young boy we're following who he's never really had a very good life until a new person comes and joins his mine called Goblin
this one was a story that I really enjoyed it's a big adventure again set in a large kind of epic sprawling world and this one focuses on a couple of different characters
I definitely enjoyed the whole story but it's quite a slow starter I feel like it took me a little while to get into this story so bear that in mind if it is gonna be one that you pick up however once it did get going I really enjoyed it's very classic fantasy it's epic it's big in scope the world is large there's a lot going on and the characters do end up overlapping
