This was not a terrible book. I think it's a good kind of like beach read mystery kind of spooky novel, but I just think there are better ones out there and the protagonist for this just drove me nuts.

View all videosI was sad finishing this because it's one of those books that feels very unique and I can't think of anything else that feels similar. I think it's actually super digestible, and I love the artwork that's throughout the book as well.
The writing of this book I do think was excellent. So it's not a critique in that sense. I just found the protagonist insufferable and I think she is supposed to be.
This was surprisingly really fun, which I wasn't expecting. I think if you want like a quick gory historical horror, I really, really think this one was such a little delight and a great way to end the year.
This book, I really think everyone should read this. It's incredible. I can't think of a single critique to say about it.
I just did not love it and I was so excited for this. I loved the setup for this book. I loved all the characters.
I had heard it was a great finale and it did not disappoint. The only reason I'm putting it at number four is because similar to a lot of Stephven Graham Jones's books, I did follow what happened with this one, but then even like the last chapter, I thought I'm not fully positive how this ended.
this book just absolutely decimated me. I highly recommend the audio book. They do an incredible job playing both of the dads.
I loved Eileen
I really hated lap vona is that what it was called
even though I think I am the target audience for this it was really not for me
I love the setup for this book and I think it could have been really good but this is a very short book and it deals with some very heavy topics including things that happened to Lydia while she was missing and it's just really breezed past
although vampires are pretty in this book in the same way that they are in Twilight
this is a really cool horror sci-fi book ... but it's really gruesome and violent some aspects I think should be Rewritten for 2024
I loved my year rest and relaxation
this is such an interesting take on Ted Bundy and I almost don't like that I'm saying his name over and over again because very intentionally his name is never mentioned throughout the book
I just could not care about their characters and these are character studies so for that reason I just did not enjoy it
this just hit all the checkboxes all the marks for me I love Victor Laval as an author
when I think back on my reading experience of all of these it really is the one that again I'm a little surprised has stuck with me the most
this is on this list not because I thought it was poorly written I love her writing this just in comparison to her other books was a big let down
I thought this was just quite a forgettable book I think if you're looking for a fast-paced beach type Thriller I think it could be good for that
it is a dark and deep vampire novel which I haven't come across in a while and it's also pretty quick read so again if you love some Gothic F fiction if you haven't read a good vampire book in a while I highly recommend this one
I found it quite cozy I really enjoyed the romance and this one just really kind of swept me away into the world
I don't think it's possible to read this book and not fall in love with Adelaide so even if you're someone who tends to read more horror and Thriller novels if you want to just read something a little bit different something I do highly recommend this one again and it's really on your heartstrings but it's really well written
