I found the premise for a badon's gate rather intriguing and I also thought we got some great action in this book something that was particularly memorable was a battle in Low Gravity that felt really visceral and exciting

as with any expanse book even though this one is in last place there were still things I liked about it I thought for the most part it was still a fun fast-paced read and I enjoyed the interplanetary politics and I also thought this book gave us some great character development however one reason that this was my least favorite expanse book was that I found it rather anticlimactic

I think this book did a great job of introducing new characters as well as expanding on the chessboard that was set up in book one I also thought this book had a couple of great action sequences as well however there were a couple of elements in this book that didn't quite click for me

I really like the first half of this book I felt like the ending of the previous book set up something new for the series and I like this one going in a fresh Direction I also thought that the central conflict was believable and I was invested in the different perspectives and there was also a great set piece in this book where I felt like the stakes were really high what didn't work for me in this book was a romance subplot which I was never really interested in and this is another book where I felt like it lost a little bit of steam in the second half

this is the ninth and final book and I think they stuck The Landing it's not my number one but I think there's a lot to like about this book firstly I felt like it was a relatively ambitious ending to the series in terms of the style and structure

Leviathan Wakes does an excellent job of introducing the series and establishing this world that is set around 300 years in the future from ours this book only has two povs Which is less than any other expanse book but I really like the characters of Holden and Miller

Nemesis GamesJames S. A. Corey
Loved it

this book was a bit of a turning point for me as I'd heard a lot of readers say how much they love the crew of the rostanante and after four books I would have said that I like them but I wouldn't have necessarily said that I loved them and this was the book that really made me care about them

this was a bounce back book in the series for me after I didn't love the ending of babylon's Ashes I thought this book did a fantastic job of introducing a new story arc for the final three books I thought the World building and The Intergalactic politics were very well layered

Tiamat's WrathJames S. A. Corey
Loved it

it took seven attempts to do it but the eighth book in the series finally surpassed Leviathan Wakes as my favorite in the series this book is pretty much everything thing that I love about the expand series the scale in this book was huge and the stakes were high
