DragonflightAnne McCaffrey

this book definitely reads more like fantasy than sci-fi which is not necessarily a bad thing but as a Sci-Fi reader there were a few elements that I found quite hard to get into. for me I kind of struggled to latch onto the plot or really connect to any of the characters

IliumDan Simmons
Loved it

I think this was a really ambitious duology and the way Dan Simmons brought these two different kind of genres together I thought was really successfully done. in the end ilium was a 9 out of 10 for me

the majority of the characters are really annoying while watching the film I'm rooting for the humans to survive while reading the book I was reading for most of them to get eaten. overall for me Jurassic Park was a seven and a half out of ten I think it has an amazing premise and there were some really high points but when it came to the characters and the dialogue they weren't just not a strength they were actually detracting from my experience

OlymposDan Simmons

Olympus actually does a rather good job of answering most of the questions set up in ilium but I would say when you kind of want the story to Peak to climax at the very end of the book it kind of just petered out for me it felt like it kind of ran out of steam in the last hundred pages

Permutation CityGreg Egan
Loved it

this book was like a five-star sci-fi Buffet you could grab yourself some virtual reality maybe a scoop of AI it gets yourself a side of clones maybe sprinkle a little time relativity on there as well. I absolutely loved it 10 out of 10
