my most disappointing reads of 2023 and why you should read them

the manga differs from the TV series in one very important area for me and that was the sexual objectification of the female characters I got really tired of every single frame of every single page of every single female character involved in this story being shown from incredibly sexualized angles

there's so much really funny humor in this series I loved 60% of it the other 40% went into a very crude gross sexual gratuitous kind of area that I just got tired of really quickly I didn't find it funny and for me every time it kind of threw me back out of the story

I was really disappointed in it I felt like it was kind of all over the place in a lot of ways and I really didn't like the way that gwy ofir's character was portrayed and built the thing that I will say about this book that I am still amazed by is how incredibly well done the combat sequences in this book were

book three you guys it was so frustrating and I can't really tell you guys without spoilers if you've read it you know because you know it just sort of removed the point of the entire Trilogy for me and was like so what was the point of any of that you know

in book two we took a swerve in terms of the story plotline I just really didn't love it we moved away from the really raw gritty kind of Street character driven plotline into something that expanded into a larger scope

I realized in this series that this particular type of lit RPG is not for me I'm not a big fan of being told all of the stats and basically I'd rather just play a video game essentially is what the kind of the conclusion I came to what I really liked about this Mana though is the art style

I loved the world building and Shadow of the Gods it's incredible the magic system is such an awesome just Nordic Beast magic kind of inspired storyline and I Adore that I love it's so good when I got to the end of the story I didn't feel like I'd really invested with any of the characters
