the horrors that she experienced in her over a decade of captivity is there aren't words I don't have words to describe her story ... this is really not an easy read she does not hold back with the details of what happened during her captivity
the way that he narrates his own story in third person in this book it's so raw and honest and that it captured the Nostalgia of the wild and growing up in a more rural setting and also the tension of a boy who's kind of lost in society
it is very sparse it is very direct in its pros style The Narrative does not sugarcoat anything it is incredibly Bleak and just like it packs such a huge punch in so few pages
this book I read a few years ago and it has stuck with me as one of the most powerful like the things that some people have to do to escape the circumstance es that they were born into is just truly mindblowing
this book is something that definitely took a lot out of me to read but was so important and one of the best Memoir style stories of what these veterans faced coming back home
the tension in this story was so heavy at some points that I had to put it down just because I was trying to understand how a person could physically and emotionally survive the things over and over and over that this man did
it just showcased the power of speaking the truth and the how important it is for the voices of survivors to be heard so that this kind of horrific abuse does not continue to happen
Peter razer's Memoir about living in that orphanage I think was really powerful and added a whole lot of nuance because not only is he a child living at the orphanage but he's also a Native American child living at the orphanage which has it a whole different set of nuance to it
