top ten fantasy (& sci-fi) books of all time // for now?

there isn't a book in this list that has had the same level of emotional impact on me as this one has it has changed how I write it has changed how I read and what I understood to be possible in the genre of fantasy

I prefer for this one to Ender's Game Far and Away I absolutely love bean I think he's a phenomenal character

what I really loved about this book is I picked this up years after finishing the farseer trilogy and I was immediately transported back to the characters despite the amount of time that had passed

I read in college and I loved it I have loved it ever since I read it I've read it multiple times

all three of these books are books that I have gone back to over and over again as comfort reads the characters feel like old friends at this point

this book broke me in so many ways it is still to this day my favorite ending of any Trilogy I have ever read

it is very good and it is definitely deserving of its place on this list

all three of these books are books that I have gone back to over and over again as comfort reads the characters feel like old friends at this point

the second and third books are also quite excellent the second book especially gets a bad rap red season to red skies and it shouldn't because I think it's fantastic

the motley crew of characters are phenomenal the heists are really cool the world is very gritty it's very dark and I absolutely loved reading this book

this book had me by the throat the entire time I was so emotionally invested the Easter eggs from the previous two books were just absolutely chef's kiss

this is a Motley Crew Lover's Dream and there's so many intrigues and heists and cons and lock ends up playing a whole bunch of different characters within those plots and it's just an amazing book I absolutely loved it

I recently read the Martian by Andy Weir and absolutely loved it

in my opinion this is Far and Away the best book in The Stormlight Archive to date this book I had such a great time with I had so many ups and downs through the story
