Oh, Books of Blood, if we were doing short stories, that would absolutely be way up close to the top.

I'm sure there are so many things in this story that I missed because I've not read Ghost written or Cloud Atlas or Bone Clocks or all his other stories in this big grand connected universe he has. but man, what a fun ghost story.

I have to put Swan Song number one as my favorite horror read. It I think it's truly something special.
It was so brilliantly told.
Bone Clocks all this overarching story of this battle between good and evil on the physical and metaphysical realms that's going on through generation after generation after generation after century after century after century all tied together through his big story. Bone Clocks is like I wanted it on I want I but I just couldn't get a slot.
The Changeling by Victor LaValle so close to making it but just this dark family drama of this fable this fairy tale this ultimate human drama horror that throws this family into a supernatural suspense-filled horror. It springboards off of that family drama and it's done so well.

This is such a wild ride, such a wild ride.
I love the style of it. I love the first-person narrative the way it's like a recorded history of what's gone on during this zombie apocalypse.
